Our guide told us they used Wadi Rum to film “The Martian.” I can understand why. Because of my background, I often felt like I was somewhere extra terrestrial on Ibrahim; places I would have never dreamed of visiting people I couldn’t imagine meeting, and doing things outside my comfort zone. I can say therefore I am a little like Matt Damon.
